What Does Medicare Assignment Mean?
Medicare assignment means a doctor, provider or supplier agrees to accept the Medicare-approved amount as full payment for a covered service.
Medicare Part B is the medical-insurance portion of Original Medicare.
It helps cover doctors and other healthcare providers, outpatient care, many preventive services, durable medical equipment, certain home healthcare and other medically necessary services.
In 2026, the standard Part B premium is $202.90 per month, and the annual Part B deductible is $283.
